Meet the Authors
San Eng
An “investorpreneur”, San has founded and led half a dozen companies raising $150 million in venture capital as a serial entrepreneur and deployed $500 million in capital as a professional investor. San’s private equity firm has been ranked Top 30 in China amongst thousands of funds; he has invested across technology, consumer, telecom, utilities, infrastructure, education, healthcare, blockchain, agrifoods, real estate and other asset classes. He is most proud to have helped create thousands of jobs throughout his ventures and investments.
Tim Eng
A recent graduate of Columbia University studying History and Computer Science, Tim grew up in Hong Kong, Connecticut, and New York. During summers, Tim interned with two investment funds learning to do equity research; his own stock portfolio has generated a consistent 10% returns in the past four years. His favorite content comes from Robert Hagstrom’s book The Warren Buffett Way and Graham Stephan’s YouTube channel on financial independence. For this book, Tim scoured through thousands of pages of books and research to provide the material for the Ten Commandments.
Oia Eng
A recent graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy to attend University of Chicago after a gap year, Oia grew up in Shanghai, Taipei, New Hampshire and Toronto. She took an early interest in the F.I.R.E (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement after reading Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Day and Tim Ferriss’ 4 Hour Work Week. After working long hours as a waitress, tutor and at other odd jobs, Oia realizes that time is a precious commodity. She is growing her passive income streams with goal to achieve financial independence by age 25.
