What is FIRE? What’s a FIRE Wizard?

Many people like you that have struggled have found better lives by practicing F.I.R.E. (Financial Independence, Retire Early). The mission of this group is to bring together Apprentices and the rockstars aka Wizards of FIRE to share and learn, so more of us can achieve financial independence (FI) early in life.

With FI, one can retire early — or never. Regardless, one now has the freedom to pursue passions, love life — even save the world;o)

San Eng, the founder of FIRE Wizards is a 1st gen immigrant to NYC and started working at age 9 in Chinatown’s garment factories, sewing belt loops on Jordache jeans (remember that brand?), paying his own way through private boarding school and university. At age 28, he “retired” temporarily as a tech entrepreneur with his shares worth 8-figures. However, he lost it all due to poor financial management. In his early 40’s, he achieved FI again and have just completed a 5-year sabbatical globe-trotting 50+ countries, binge learning anything and everything and spending time with family. His next goal is to help his 3 kids achieve FI by age 21!
